Search Ensues for Wanted Convicted Felon
GILMER COUNTY — The Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) is searching for 40-year-old convicted felon Terry Franklin Turner.
Turner is a convicted felon and has an active arrest warrant for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, according to the GCSO.
Deputies responded to calls regarding a male acting erratically and carrying a rifle on December 26.
Witnesses reported seeing the individual firing the weapon and chasing wildlife.
Deputies have not been able to locate him.
Turner has been reported on foot in and around the following areas:
*Nugget Lane / Pebble Court*Woodridge and Oak Ridge*Cameron Drive*Tails Creek Road / Highway 282 Corridor
GCSO says he has been seen moving through yards, driveways, wooded areas and near residences.
They remind locals to not approach the suspect, anyone aiding or abetting Turner will be charged and if you see Turner, call 911 or 706-635-8911.
