Chattanooga Strong Parade at Hamilton Place Mall

Chattanooga (WDEF) – Hundreds of Chattanoogans gathered together tonight for the Chattanooga Strong Parade.

The Salvation Army teamed up with Hamilton Place Mall to put on the patriotic themed parade after the tragic shootings in Chattanooga that happened one month ago today.

Businesses, teams, and more than 40 groups from across Tennessee registered to participate in the parade to show their support for the armed forces and our local heroes.

Dancer Katie Brown told us "There’s a lot of people here supporting the tragedy that happened a month ago and Chattanooga was really hurt by it but we’re here and we’re really pulling together as a group and the main things is just the support and keep a friendship and everything."

Congressman Fleischmann, Mayor Berke and County Mayor Coppinger were in attendance, along with the Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County Sheriffs Department.
