Man Killed in Kentucky Crash Possibly Linked to Local Death

Authorities in Kentucky have identified the man killed in a car crash over the weekend that could be linked to a death in our area.

Early Saturday morning, Dalton authorities responded to a house fire on Grimes Street.

They found the body of a woman inside.

Then, a woman called police saying her brother said he had killed his girlfriend at that site.

Later in the day, the woman’s vehicle was spotted in Kentucky.

Kentucky State Troopers chased the vehicle until it ran head-on into an 18 wheeler on I-75.

They have now identified the driver who was killed as Ryan Ebler from Indiana.

He was the boyfriend of the woman in northwest Georgia.
