CPD Investigating Market Street Shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that caused a man to have non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting occurred on January 18, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m. on the 1900 block of Market Street.
A 37-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital via a personal vehicle, CPD says.
CPD’s Homicide Unit responded to lead the investigation and the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene for evidence.
They say all active leads are being followed up on.
The incident remains active and ongoing investigation.
