Firefighters respond to commercial fire in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY, N.C (WDEF) –  Tens of thousands of chickens are feared dead after an egg farm caught fire in Cherokee County, North Carolina this morning.

Multiple Crews from Clay County and Brasstown pitched in to help.

They dumped more than 200,000 gallons of water on the fire.

At least one building was destroyed.

No people were injured, but the cause of his devastating fire remains under investigation.
