Catoosa County Prepares for Winter Weather

CATOOSA COUNTY — Catoosa County is sharing its preparations for the upcoming winter storm.

Catoosa County Emergency Management says they are working with Walker County Emergency Management to provide a warming shelter for people without power/heat.

The warming shelter will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, at the Rossville Community Center, which is located at 301 Williams Street, Rossville.

Cots, bottled water and snacks are provided.

They say those who want to stay overnight should bring their own bedding, including sheets, blankets and pillows.

Catoosa County Public Works crews are on standby and ready to respond to hazardous road conditions and fallen trees on roadways.
