Suspect arrested for Jackson Ave. homicide

UPDATE: The Chattanooga Police Department has made an arrest in the homicide of Wallace Milam, which occurred in December 2025 in the 1100 block of Jackson Avenue.

Terrance Brewer (DOB: 01/02/2003) has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.

He is currently in custody at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department  is investigating a homicide that happened at around 7:00 pm on December 19, 2025, in the 1100 block of Jackson Ave.

Officers responded and located 18 years-old Wallace Milam suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was treated on scene, then transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to investigate and process the scene. Suspect identification remains pending.
