Baylor Retires the Jersey of American League Rookie of the Year Nick Kurtz
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) During halftime of the Baylor-McCallie basketball game on Friday, Baylor honored one of their own in baseball star Nick Kurtz.
He of course was just named the American League rookie of the year playing for the A’s.
Kurtz batted .290 with 36 home runs in his first season in the big leagues.
Besides playing baseball at Baylor, Kurtz was also a member of the Raiders basketball team.
