New Cookie Hits the Menu
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Winter weather and freezing temperatures weren’t enough to delay the highly anticipated 2026 Girl Scout cookie season.
Over the weekend, Girl Scouts, troop leaders, and families gathered at the regional distribution point to pick up their massive supplies of cookies, ensuring the community’s favorite treats stay on schedule despite the icy conditions.
Volunteers worked through the cold to load thousands of cases into vehicles, preparing for the official launch of the sale.
The big story this year is the debut of the Exploramore, a brand-new addition to the cookie lineup.
This Rocky Road-inspired chocolate sandwich cookie is already creating a buzz among scouts and customers alike. As the first new flavor in recent years, it is expected to be a top seller for 2026.
Regional Director Roxaline Holbrook says the new treat is a “chocolate lover’s dream,” featuring a rich chocolate filling that captures the classic ice cream flavor.
After picking up their cases this weekend, local scouts are now in the final stages of preparation before they begin door-to-door sales and booth distributions.
The 2026 cookie season officially begins on February 6th and runs through March 15th.
Not only do these sales provide a delicious treat for the community, but they also fund local troop activities, community service projects, and leadership opportunities for the girls.
