Meet Presidential Candidate Dr. Ben Carson in Chattanooga

Chattanooga (WDEF) – The man who just tied Donald Trump in an Iowa poll is coming to Chattanooga in October.

Dr. Ben Carson will sign copies of his new book A More Perfect Union: What We the People Can Do to Reclaim Our Constitutional Liberties.

The signing will be on Sunday, October 11th, at 3:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Place Barnes and Noble.

Dr. Carson is also a Republican candidate for President.

He calls the book an opportunity to “encourage every citizen to read and think about the Constitution, and to help defend it from those who misinterpret and undermine it. In our age of political correctness it’s especially important to defend the Bill of Rights, which guarantees our freedom to speak, bear arms, practice our religion, and much more.”

The book signing is also part of a Bookfair fundraiser for the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga.

If you mention the Urban League at the cash register, a percentage of the price will go to them.

Welcome to A More Perfect Union Book Signing!

Thanks for spending part of your day with Dr. Carson. As you may know, Dr. Carson is visiting over 40 cities on this tour. Obviously, because of this schedule, Dr. Carson’s time here must end on time in order to keep the tour on schedule. He wishes to greet each of you briefly as he signs your book, however, there are a few guidelines on which we ask your cooperation. These guidelines will allow him to meet as many friends and sign as many books as possible.

If the schedule allowed for more time, these guidelines would not be necessary – however, that is not the case on this visit.

1.This is a “signature only” signing. Please do not ask for personalization to be added to books. If Dr. Carson personalizes one book for one fan, it would only be fair for him to personalize them all, and time simply will not allow for that.

2.He is only signing books today – he will not be able to sign any paraphernalia such as bumper stickers, yard signs, t-shirts, etc.

3.There is a photo area across from the signing area. Photos will be handled by the staff photographer. You will be able to download your photo for free at DrCarsonTour.com

4.Store staff will assist you in locating the “title page” – the page that Dr. Carson will autograph. Having your book flapped (jacket pulled over to hold page) and open to this page will assist greatly in the pace of the signing.

5.While we do not anticipate this happening, it’s possible that the signing may have to end before you’ve made it through the signing line. If so, Dr. Carson has prepared a quantity of personally autographed bookplates, and those will be given to you for each book you have purchased as Dr. Carson walks down the remaining line and shakes everyone’s hand, before he returns to his tour bus.
