Man arrested after meth found in vehicle during traffic stop
A man has been arrested after drug paraphernalia was found in his vehicle during a traffic stop on March 17, 2026 at around 10:30 p.m.
The Scottsboro Police Department (SPD) says an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Broad Street near Highway 72.
The driver was identified as Aubrey Keith Bearden, 37.
They say during a search of the vehicle, officers located a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia.
Bearden was taken into custody and charged with the following:
*Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Bearden was transported to the Scottsboro City Jail and later transferred to the Jackson County Jail without incident, the SPD says.
