Coach Jones Sees Plenty of Positives in Vols Opening Win Over Bowling Green

With Oklahoma rolling into Neyland Stadium on Saturday, you get the feeling Vols coach Butch Jones likes having a game under his belt against Bowling Green. While UT had some issues on defense, Jones felt there were plenty of positives that he hopes will carry over against the Sooners.

"Zero turnovers, especially in the first game. That’s a very, very positive thing. I thought our players did a very good job of taking care of the football. And then our special teams performance. Sparked by very, very, big returns that created a short field for our offense on a number of scoring drives. Our red zone efficiency. I’m very encouraged by what I saw Saturday with this football team. I thought they showed some resiliency. I thought they showed some grit. I thought they showed some heart. I thought they showed some maturity by the way they handled themselves with the lightening delay."
