River Lock Opening

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)-A lock along the Tennessee River gets ready to reopen to the public..
That’s after it was closed off after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001.
The Nickajack Lock in Marion County was fenced off and equipped with barricades, speed bumps and padlocked steel gates for 14 years.
But now the U-S Army Corps of Engineers is working to open the lock to the public. Two other locks will also be reopened.
A Corps spokesman said visiting hours are being set for public access.
