Could there be consequences against gas stations that do not cut the gas tax?

Georgia’s Attorney General is threatening to file suit against any gas station that does not cut the gas tax.

Chris Car says his office will not hesitate to act against stations that violate the tax suspension.

Georgia passed a 33-cent gas tax suspension on March 20th that will last for sixty days.

Critics say gas tax cuts don’t work because states cannot enforce them.

But Carr says ignoring the cut is an unfair and deceptive act.

He says you can report price-gouging stations to the Georgia Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.
