Veterans Bridge mural completed

Veterans Bridge mural

The main mural on the Veterans Bridge has been completed.

The city sponsored the project on a wall for the ramp connecting the Bridge to Riverfront Parkway.

They are creating art for pedestrians and cyclists who are detouring while the Walnut Street Bridge is closed for renovations.

It shows Chattanoogans involved in a variety of outdoor activities.

The mural will stay up for at least five years.

City officials invite the public to meet the artist in an event next Friday at noon.

To celebrate, Chattanoogans are invited to view the mural, meet the artist and enjoy a gentle, flow yoga class inspired by the new artwork from 12-1 p.m., Friday, April 17.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required to reserve a spot.

Those attending the event in the River Gallery Sculpture Garden are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat (limited mats will be available).
