East Ridge man facing charges for sexual acts with minor

An East Ridge man faces a variety of charges over his contact with a 15-year-old boy.

The teenager says he performed sexual acts on Kevin Sean Thomas in exchange for money and drugs.

The victim says they had several encounters last summer.

He says he was afraid of Thomas because he once had a gun and that he had threatened his father’s business.

The two made contact through an app.

Investigators found texts where the youth told Thomas he was underage.

Thomas faces charges of Solicitation, statutory rape and trafficking for a commercial sex act.
