CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A routine traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and multiple handguns on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Just before midnight, an officer saw a vehicle make an illegal turn onto McCallie from Dodds Avenue, the Chattanooga Police Department says.

After learning the registration had expired, the officer initiated a traffic stop.

They say the suspect gave consent to search the vehicle. During that search, the officer found suspected fentanyl, several bars of Xanax, six handguns, two rifles, and several loaded magazines.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

The suspect is facing multiple charges, including drug possession for resale, firearm violations, and improper turn.
