Reneau says bill granting access to their kids medical records has passed
State Representative Michele Reneau says her bill granting parents access to their kids’ medical records has passed.
The bill includes prescription and rehabilitation records even if the parent did not consent to the treatment.
The only exception would be records a health provider uses to report suspected child abuse.
Representative Reneau says the bill is meant to eliminate different interpretations of parental access rights.
It now goes to the Governor’s desk for his signature.
