Creatives dress up rubber ducks in Collegedale contest
Shrek and Fiona as rubber ducks in the Collegedale “Waddle It Be?” contest.
COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. (WDEF)- 24 contestants are trying to waddle to victory in Collegedale this week.
The city is hosting their first ever “Waddle It Be?” Contest.
The public can come to the Collegedale City Hall to judge the best dress rubber duck displays.
Some of the displays include Taylor Swift, Shrek, and Jack Sparrow among other pop culture scenes.
The city says that both the young and old put their creativity skills to the test in dressing up these rubber duckies.
Collegedale’s program specialist, Logan McDaniel, said, “We kind of purposely left the rules a little bit open to give people the creative opening that they needed and as you can see, they’ve just gone crazy with it.”
The displays are open for voting Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
