Upcoming construction and road closures

According to the Chattanooga Department of Public Works, Transportation Division, there are some upcoming construction and road closures that could impact locals. They are as follows:
5208 Hunter Road
Hunter Road between Hilltop Drive and Ooltewah Harrison Road will be closed during the following dates and times for a street cut to connect a fire suppression system to the water main:
Friday, April 24th at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. (Saturday)
Saturday, April 25th at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. (Sunday)
Times reflect overnight closures; Detours will be posted via Hilltop Drive and Ooltewah-Harrison Road.
4401 Grand Ave
Grand Ave between W 45th Street and W 43rd Street will be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday, April 21st with work continuing until Tuesday, May 5th.

Intersection of Lee Hwy/E Brainerd Road/Old Birds Mill Road
Traffic signal control box upgrades are scheduled for the intersections of Lee Highway/US 64 at Old Birds Mill Road and E Brainerd Road on Thursday, April 23rd, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During this time, both intersections will go dark. Motorists are required to treat the dark signals as a four-way stop.
Please use caution and anticipate extra travel time. Advance warning signs and flaggers will be present to manage potential traffic back-ups
W 13th Street
W 13th Street between Market Street and Cowart Street will be closed Friday, April 24th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for a crane lift.
