National Cornbread Festival begins today

It’s Cornbread time in South Pittsburg.

The National Cornbread Festival begins tonight and runs through Sunday.

The event offers music, a carnival, crafts and lots of cornbread.

You can sample eight different types of the dish at Cornbread Alley or watch the annual cookoff competition.

We do have a few reminders for you.

If you are a pre-sale ticket buyer, you need to enter through Gate One or Gate Five.

They encourage you to download the National Cornbread Festival app for all the details on parking and schedules.

And this is a “rain or shine” event.

They will only shutdown in case of severe weather.
