Polk Co. High School student suspended after making statement to harm another student

POLK COUNTY — A Polk County High School student was suspended on May 4th, 2026 after they were overheard making a statement about brining a weapon to school and harming another student, according to Polk County Schools.
They say the incident took place around 2:50 p.m. and no student was in danger concerning the incident.
Polk County Schools say that law enforcement is involved along with Homeland Security.
