Highland Ave Road to close May 11

CHATOOGA COUNTY — Highland Ave Road in Summerville will close on May 11 and stay closed through May 15, 2026 for infrastructure work in the area.

The road will be closed to all through traffic between E First Ave and Sixth Ave. from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. as crews work.

Chattooga County EMA encourages the following detour:

Take Hwy 27 North and South bound following detour signs.

Businesses and Residents living within the closure limits will maintain access to their properties, though minor delays should be expected.
