Two charged after high speed chase

Deputies have charged two people after a high speed chase that went through Georgia and Alabama.

It started on Sand Mountain above Rising Fawn.

DeKalb deputies chased the vehicle into Georgia and back into Jackson County.

Eventually they forced it off the road.

Byron Ray Gentry of Flat Rock tried to flee on foot.

Choe Michelle McDonald of Trenton tried to jump in the driver’s seat and get the car going again.

Both were caught and face drug and fleeing charges.

McDonald also faces an Assault charge after deputies say she tried to run them over.
