Search for Scott Mello continues

CHEROKEE COUNTY — The search for Scott Allen Mello is ongoing as search crews, K9 teams, Fire Department Personnel and Law Enforcement are in the area of East Murphy near Hill St, Lowes, Murphy Post Office, etc., according to the Cherokee County, NC Emergency Management.

They are asking people in the area to check their cameras from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. May 11th.

If you have footage of Scott call 911 or 828-835-3144 and let Law Enforcement know about it.

Scott Allen Mello is a 55-year-old male, 5’5″, approximately 250 pounds, with a white hair and a white beard.

He was last seen around 5:30 a.m. in Hill St area near Murphy PD. No clothing description.
