Former Dalton insurance agent arrested on insurance fraud, forgery
A former Dalton insurance agent has been charged with 5 Counts of Felony Insurance Fraud and 1 Felony Count of Forgery.
According to Enforcement Division Director Tammy Marshall, Lucy Margarita Suarez, 33, was arrested on April 29th, 2026, in Miami Florida and transported to the Whitfield County Jail.
Suarez owned and operated EliteOne Solutions, which was located at 216 E, Morris Street, in Dalton Georgia.
The Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation says the investigation alleges that Suarez deceived customers into believing they purchased workers’ compensation insurance coverage from her, and then Suarez converted the premium payments to her personal use.
Suarez issued the unsuspecting clients fraudulent certificates of insurance as proof they had coverage.
This led the business owners and general contractors for whom they worked believed there was valid insurance coverage in place, however, evidence shows the business owners were uninsured.
They say the investigation revealed Suarez had stolen thousands of dollars from victims who were under the impression they had workers’ compensation insurance coverage.
“If any business owner in the Dalton or Whitfield County area has purchased workers’ compensation insurance through EliteOne Solutions or if you are a general contractor that has
received a certificate for workers’ compensation insurance from Suarez’s agency, you are asked to contact the State Board of Workers’ Compensation’s Enforcement Division at (404) 657-7285
or (800) 533-0682.”– The Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation says.
