29-year-old arrested after fentanyl, firearms found

The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) says the CPD Narcotics unit concluded a months-long investigation and coordination with other CPD units and the DEA.

They say the investigation resulted in the seizure of fentanyl for resale, multiple firearms, and other evidence, along with the arrest of a 29-year-old male suspect.

The suspect had several outstanding warrants and is prohibited from possessing firearms due to multiple prior felony convictions, according to CPD.

Following the execution of three search warrants, the following evidence was recovered:

1.6lbs of fentanyl
5 firearms, including a Pioneer Arms AK-47 rifle
14.1g of marijuana
Jewelry
Cash
Drug paraphernalia
2015 BMW sedan

The suspect is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
