One charged in connection with homicide and non-fatal shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide of a teen.
According to CPD, on March 22, 2026, police investigated the homicide of a 16-year-old and non-fatal shooting of an 18-year-old that happened on South Germantown Road.
The subject, 21-year-old Victor Powell Jr. has been charged with Criminal Homicide, Attempted Murder, Tampering with Evidence, and Felony Reckless Endangerment.
Powell is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
