Ketner’s Mill closes to the public ‘effective immediately’

Ketner’s Mill has shared they will be closed to the public effective immediately.

In part, they say:

“Unfortunately, we have recently begun receiving correspondence from attorneys representing individuals pursuing personal injury claims related to incidents that occurred on the property during recreational visits.”

The fall festival will continue each year, they say.

Their full statement reads:

“The fall festival will continue each year… however, it is with regret that we announce that Ketner Mill will officially be closed to the public effective immediately.

We have enjoyed allowing members of our community to visit and enjoy the property at no cost. Unfortunately, we have recently begun receiving correspondence from attorneys representing individuals pursuing personal injury claims related to incidents that occurred on the property during recreational visits.

While we have always been happy to share this special place with others, the increasing legal risks, stress, and potential liability associated with public access have made it necessary for us to make this difficult decision.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has respected and enjoyed Ketner Mill. However, in order to protect our family, our property, and our future, the mill and surrounding areas will now be closed to public access.
