Hamilton County Schools shares ‘Pathways to Teaching’ admissions are open

Hamilton County Schools (HCS) has announced admissions for the Summer 2026 cohort of the “Pathways to Teaching” educator preparation program (EPP) are officially underway with new offerings.

The 18-month program helps aspiring educators transition from trades and industry into teaching careers.

They say participants are able to serve as teachers of record, bringing their professional experience into the classroom as they earn their Tennessee teaching credentials.

“This expansion will help us continue to provide opportunities for the next generation of professionals, tradespeople, and entrepreneurs to learn from content experts. We look forward to welcoming the next cohort of CTE teachers!”

– Dr. Olivia Bagby, HCS Future Ready Students said.
