Lavender Farm Opens on Flat Top Mountain

SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) There’s a new attraction open on Flat Top Mountain.
Up in Soddy-Daisy, Flat Top Mountain Farms made their lavender field available for the public.
You can pick the lavender yourself and bring it home to enjoy.
The owners tell us this stems from an idea thought up by their mother, and it’s been going on for three years now.

Tera Byard, Co-Owner of Flat Top Mountain Farm told us, “We do a lavender wreathmaking class, we set up the still and we do live distillation of the essential oil and hydrosol. The barn is filled with you know all kinds of our products as well as other vendor products we partner with other small businesses which we love to do we have a food truck we have a lemonade truck and we partner with Clumpies Ice Cream for a lavender ice cream as well.”

Flat Top Mountain Farm will be open to the public from June 4th through June 21st. For those who love photo-ops, photography is encouraged.
