Two men charged with stealing cattle

It may not be a hanging offense anymore, but stealing cattle is still against the law.

Two men have been charged with stealing cattle in Franklin County.

Carl Lynn of Franklin County and Nicholas King from Grundy County face theft charges.

Agriculture Department officials say they sold 94 cattle that didn’t belong to them over a three year period.

Lynn had worked for a family cattle rancher for years.

Investigators say the pair had been selling some of their livestock under another name at a regional livestock stockyard.
