TN hands out Milkweed seeds for National Pollinator Week

Tennessee is once again handing out packets of Milkweed seeds for National Pollinator Week.

The name may not be very impressive, but the colorful orange blooms are.

They are popular with a variety of pollinators, particularly Monarch Butterflies.

TDOT send out more than 93,000 packets of seeds to Tennesseans last year.

This year, they are adding a native herb and flower bend to the Milkweed options.

It has ten different native plants included.

You can order the seed packets online by visiting the Tennessee Department of Transportation website.
