Iran’s president to visit Pakistan on Tuesday

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan Tuesday to discuss the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.

In a statement on X, the ministry said Pezeshkian’s visit would “provide an important opportunity to discuss ongoing diplomatic engagements” after the signing of the ceasefire extension between the U.S. and Iran.

Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency said Pezeshkian would also express his “appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in mediating between Iran and the United States.”

The U.S. Treasury on Monday gave Iran the green light to start selling its oil and gas again, waiving a number of sanctions as per the conditions of the deal signed last week by President Trump.
