Drone used to locate stolen tractor

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — On Friday, June 19, 2026, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says a deputy responded to the scene of a stolen tractor to help locate the vehicle.

The tractor was valued at approximately $15,000, according to the HCSO.

An HCSO drone was launched to canvass the area, allowing personnel to both locate the tractor and ensure the safety of our deputies by checking for potential threats and hazards, the HCSO says.

“This is one of many ways the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has utilized drone technology since 2016, and this resource continues to demonstrate how effective and essential it is during law enforcement operations.”
