Former Band Director Sentenced to 40 Years in Student Sex Case

The former Lakeview Middle School band director was convicted in August on five counts of child sex charges.

They stem from a sexual relationship he had with a 14 year old student in 2010.

The Dunlap native was first suspended from his job and then resigned after parents complained about inappropriate texts he sent their daughter.

The Catoosa Walker News reports that the judge sentenced Blevins to forty years in prison, with another ten years of probation.
