Missing Sequatchie County woman found in woods deceased

SEQUATCHIE COUNTY — Morgan Davis, who was reported missing on June 26, 2026, has been found deceased, according to the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that the body recovered deep in the woods in the Flat Mountain Road area of Fredonia Mountain on Saturday, June 27, 2026, is that of Morgan Davis, the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office says.

The cause and manner of death have not been determined.

The sheriff’s office continues the investigation along with the assistance of the Medical Examiner’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
