Chattanooga Police Respond to Weekend Shootings
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police responded to two separate shootings in less than a few hours; the first was last night at approximately 10:34pm at Cromwell Hills apartments, 3940 Camellia Dr., on a shots fired call. While Officers were on the scene, two victims suffering gunshots wounds showed up at a local hospital.
A little less than two hours later, at approximately 12:15am, Chattanooga Police also responded to 600 N. Willow St, on a person shots fired call. The victim was transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle.
The extent of victim injuries in both incidents is unknown, as well as no suspect information at this time. The Chattanooga Police Major Crimes Investigators are conducting investigations and more information will be released when it becomes available. Update on 3940 Camellia Drive Report:
After gathering more information, the location of the shooting was determined to be at 3922 Jasmine St. The victims, Charles Jackson, 23, and Kia Pines, 21, advised that they were standing near 3922 Jasmine St. when they heard gunfire and realized they had been injured. Both victims stated they did not see anyone, were treated for non-life threatening injuries, and released.
Update on 600 North Willow Street Shooting:
The victim, Delvante White, 18, stated he was standing near 600 N. Willow St. when he observed several parties exiting a black SUV and began firing shots in his direction. While attempting to run away, he was struck in his right shoulder blade and was treated for a non-life threatening injury. White could not give any detailed information on the suspects.
