Juvenile dies after drowning incident, investigation underway

BRADLEY COUNTY — A juvenile has died following a drowning incident in Bradley County.

According to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), on July 13, 2026, at approximately 2:38 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of a child who had been found in a pond on the property of a private residence in the southeastern part of Bradley County.

They say first responders arrived and began providing emergency medical care, however, the juvenile was transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.

Detectives with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
