Traffic to be impacted on US 27 due to equipment repairs

Those traveling on US 27 in Hamilton County should be aware of upcoming roadway activities that will have an impact on traffic, according to TDOT Region 2.

On July 16, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. ET, Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will close the US 27 South ramp to Broad Street for attenuator repairs.

They say I-24 will not be affected by this work.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution as they travel through this area and expect delays.

Signage will be posted directing drivers through the work zone. This work is weather-dependent.
