Chatsworth man arrested for attempting to meet 14-year-old for ‘indecent purposes’

WHITFIELD COUNTY — On July 16th, 2026, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office says their Special Victims Unit Detectives concluded another operation leading to the arrest of a Chatsworth man attempting to meet a 14-year-old juvenile for indecent purposes.

Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office investigators have charged Shawn Ridner with O.C.G.A. 16-12-100(g)(1) Sexual Exploitation of Children.
