Water main installation at Adair Avenue and Ringgold Road to impact traffic pattern

Motorists traveling along Ringgold Road should expect traffic delays and changing traffic patterns as Tennessee American Water works on a new water main installation at the intersection of Adair Avenue and Ringold Road, according to the City of East Ridge.

They say drivers can expect:

• Eastbound traffic begins merging into a single lane near Keeble Street. An additional traffic shift occurs at Prater Road. Traffic returns to normal at S. Smith Street.
• Westbound traffic will not have access to the center turn lane beginning at Adair Avenue. Traffic returns to normal at Prater Road.

They say temporary road closures and detours may occur on nearby residential streets, including Adair Avenue, Marietta Street, and S. Smith Street.

Use caution when driving in the area.

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the business day on Friday, July 17, 2026.
