ROSSVILLE, Ga. (WDEF)- We are hearing from the owner of a proposed quantum node facility in Rossville under scrutiny.

Joe Morgan is one of the founders of Bridge TRK, a Chattanooga based technology and logistics company.

They are planning to build two modular communication units that will serve as a direct connection to EPB’s quantum network.

Morgan explained to us that this is to protect the data of the clients of his company, as previously that was being routed through a data center.

There have been concerns raised about its potential impact in the midst of greater fears about data centers.

However, Morgan says this project will not use any water, run on commercial power, and is not a sprawling server farm.

He said, “This is not a Google. This isn’t an AI environment. It’s not bitcoin mining which is a travesty, This is none of that.”

Morgan added that it is frustrating hearing the pushback despite the project having nothing to do with the data centers at the center of controversy

The city of Rossville will have to approve a rezoning request for the Bulldog Drive property before construction can begin.
