East Ridge Police Respond to shooting at Motel

East Ridge Police recived a call from  the Crown Inn at 6642 Ringgold Rd , on a report of shots fired and a large amount of blood in a room.


When police arrived on the scene, Parkridge East Hospital reported that a white male had arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the right calf.



The victim says that he met an acquaintance who invited him to her room. After entering the room, an unknown white male and black male pulled handguns and demanded money.

 



The white male suspect fired a round striking the victim in the calf. The victim pulled a knife and stabbed the white suspect several times in the chest.






 The victim then ran from the room in route to the hospital.






When police arrived at the motel, no one involved was on scene. Police are still investigating.
