Signal Point Rescue

Signal Mountain, TN (WDEF) – Emergency crews work to rescue a 16-year-old girl who fell off he side of the Signal Point bluff Wednesday night.

A hiker found the teen laying on the trail and called 9-1-1 at 6:45 p.m.

He said she was conscious and alert, but injured.

Signal Mountain Firefighters responded and immediately requested mutual aid response for additional rope rescue personnel.

Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services and Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department came to help.

The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department is also standing by.

Hamilton County EMS is on the scene waiting to asset the patient.

Fire officials say the victim is about 1 mile down the trails.

Rescue workers were with her around 7:30 p.m. and starting to carry her out.
