Chattanooga man accused of indecent exposure and sexual battery at Chatt State

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – A couple of Chattanooga State Community College female students found themselves in an uncomfortable situation after a man allegedly exposed himself and started rubbing on them.

Cordiarus Robbinson , 26, of Chattanooga has been charged with sexual battery and indecent exposure.

Two female victims told police Robbinson approached them in the campus library and asked for their names while he attempted to rub his body against theirs.

At some point, Robbinson reportedly laid on his back on a bench, unzipped his pants and began to fondle himself in the library hallway.

The two young women ran away and contacted campus police.

When an officer arrived on scene, he instructed Robbinson to stand up. According to the officer, Robbinson said “I’m sorry,” before he was arrested.

Robbinson is no stranger to law enforcement. Back in 2008 he was arrested on charges of carjacking, aggravated robbery and illegal drugs. All four of those charges were dismissed in court. A year later, he was arrested for cocaine possession. That charge was dismissed after Robbinson completed a diversion program.
