A Commission review of Unit One counted one shutdown in the first quarter and three in the third.

“Overall, the Sequoyah plant is operating safely,” said NRC Acting Region II Administrator Len Wert. “However, these shutdowns point to potential performance issues and we want to ensure that TVA addresses them appropriately.”

Now the NRC will add an inspection after the fact make sure the plant understands what is causing the unit "trips."
