Second child rape indictment in two days; both suspects are Hixson residents

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – Within a two day time period, two men from Hixson have been indicted in separate cases involving child rape.

George Wesson, 67, is facing a charge of child rape and aggravated sexual battery.

According to indictment papers, the alleged crime occurred back in May of this year.

The alleged victim was less than 13-years of age.

Wesson’s indictment comes just one day after the indictment of Kenneth Arnold, 45, who is also a Hixson resident.

      

Arnold was indicted on two counts of rape, one count of aggravated sexual battery and one count of sexual battery by authority figure.

According to court documents obtained by News 12, the alleged acts occurred between January of 2009 and November of 2012.

The alleged victim was less than 13-years of age when the crimes allegedly began.

According to court documents, the crimes continued to occur when the child was teenager.
