Conasauga River near Eton under Flood Warning Wednesday night through Thursday morning

Eton , GA (WDEF) – …The National Weather Service in Peachtree City issued a Flood Warning for the Conasauga River near Eton affecting Murray and Whitfield Counties from Wednesday night through Thursday morning.

From the National Weather Service:
* At 300 PM Tuesday the stage was 9.2 feet…and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Wednesday evening and continue to rise to near 12.1 feet by Wednesday late evening. The river will fall below flood stage by Thursday morning.
* At 12 feet…Minor flooding of woodlands…pasture and fields begins along the river…upstream and downstream from the gage on Georgia Highway 286 or Dawnville Road.
