Couple accused of gang raping a woman in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) –  A Chattanooga couple is in jail after being accused of gang raping a woman.
    
According to police, it happened early Friday morning inside a home in the 3800 block of Kirkland Avenue.

Adil Gonzales and his girlfriend Floridalma Gomez are both facing rape charges after police say the two raped one of Gomez’s relatives while she was trying to sleep.

Both suspects had to be properly identified by immigration officials and both are being held on a $100,000 bond.

Both suspects told police they were intoxicated.

According to the arrest affidavit, Gonzalez told police he was so intoxicated that he didn’t remember anything.

According to jail officials, there may be an immigration hold on Gonzalez.
